Heath, safety, and well-being of our guests are of utmost importance. For this reason, we use a thorough cleaning process after each check-out.

★ NO SMOKING ON PROPERTY ★

Smoking/vaping/incense are NOT allowed inside or outside on our property, including the deck or yard. Citronella candles are allowed outside and cannot be left unattended. Violation of this rule incurs a $500 fine. If you smoke/vape, this property is not for you.

★ NO PARTIES/EVENTS ★

We kindly ask you to treat our home as your own to preserve its pristine condition for future guests and your return visits.

The neighborhood

Overview

The house is nestled in a tranquil and family-friendly neighborhood in Colonial Beach, VA, one of the few remaining small seaport towns on the Potomac River. It enjoys a unique location nestled between the Potomac River on the east and the waters of Monroe Bay on the West. Its sandy beaches and marinas on Monroe Bay have attracted water sporting enthusiasts for over a century. Fishing, sailing, boating, swimming, and crabbing are just a few of the water activities enjoyed here. 

Colonial Beach is also a very historical area, with Washington's Birthplace and Stratford Hall boyhood home of Lee, while Westmoreland County is the birthplace of James Monroe. 

The home's fantastic location allows you to walk to the Potomac River and Monroe Bay in just a few minutes.

Getting around

We strongly recommend that you arrive in a car as it will give you much freedom to explore and enjoy the beautiful Colonial Beach town area. As you already know, we offer multiple parking spots.

Or adopt the Colonial Beach way of life by getting around in a golf cart (you may use one to travel anywhere in the Town of Colonial Beach). There are several golf cart rental stores in town.

Two trolley stops are just a few steps away if you want to reach town without driving. The free trolley is runs on weekend from 11am to 7pm between Memorial Day and Labor Day.
